WHEREAS, the Philippines is committed to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which consists of 17 development goals, 169 targets and 232 indicators covering economic, social, and environmental dimensions of development;

            WHEREAS, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is a plan of action for people, planet, and prosperity. It also seeks to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom. All countries and all stakeholders, acting in a collaborative partnership, will implement this plan;

            WHEREAS, PSA conducted a 2-day Technical Workshop on the Monitoring of Regional SDG Indicators on October 16-17, 2018 in Manila which brought about the Core SDG Indicators (Core-SDGI) composed of 74 minimum set of SDG idnicators for compilation in the regional level which is broadly consistent with the Initial List of Philippine SDG Indicators approved through the PSA Board Resolution no. 09,series of 2017 consistently tagged as Tier 1 and  with regional disaggregation;

WHEREAS, the list underwent the review of the inter-agency technical working group of SDG and inputs were incorportated in the list for consideration in the national list of Core SDGIs;

WHEREAS, the CoRe-SDGI list may be amended to respond to emerging developmental issues, concerns of the region, and availability of regional disaggregated official statistics;

WHEREAS, in recognition of the need to facilitate sub-national comparisons in monitoring the achievement of the Sustainable3 Development Goals (SDG), the list of core regional SDG indicators (Core-SDGI) shall be endorse to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Board;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Regional Statistics Committee duly assembled, endorses the proposed list of Core Regional Sustainable Development Goal Indicators to the P Philippine Statistics Authority(PSA) Board;

RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be furnished to all the concerned agencies for the provision of the Core SDG indicators .
