WHEREAS , one of the frameworks maintained by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is the System of National Accounts (SNA) which includes the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) to be released on an annual basis;

WHEREAS, the GRDP measures the total output of goods and services of a region and is an indicator of the region's economic performance on a given period.

WHEREAS, the GRDP estimates are valuable inputs in development planning, policy formulation and monitoring activities of the region;

WHEREAS, the data required in the estimation of the GRDP are generated from the results of censuses and surveys, and administrative reports of government offices and private establishment ;

WHEREAS, the availability of data from the government agencies and the private sector is important in coming up with accurate, timely and reliable GRDP estimates for CAR;

WHEREAS, there is a need for PSA-CAR to collect and update its databank for the actual estimation of the CAR GRDP covering the periods 2015 to 2017;

WHEREAS, the PSA-CAR preserves the confidentiality of sensitive data through the release of aggregate estimates only.

NOW , THEREFORE, ON MOTION DULY SECONDED, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Regional Statistics Committee - CAR request the Regional Line Agencies, Local Government Units and the private sector to provide PSA-CAR with data needed in the estimation of the 2015-2017 CAR GRDP;
