WHEREAS, there remains a high demand for quality statistical information that is relevant, accurate and timely fro planning and decision-making by the government and the private sector;

WHEREAS, the demand and usage for these statistical information is greatly hampered by the highly decentralized nature of the CAR statistical system;

WHEREAS, in response to this need, the RSCC through the Cordillera Executive Board (CEB) and the Cordillera Regional Assembly (CRA) jointly acting as the Cordillera Development Council endorsed and lobbied for the creation of a Regional UniJuly 28, 2005R);

WHEREAS, the NSCB-RU-CAR was mandated to establish the regional branch of the National Statistical Information Center (NSIC), a one-stop shop for data and statistical products and services:

WHEREAS, the establishment of the NSIC will facilitated if government agencies in the region provide the NSCB RU-CAR with their statistical data and publications;

WHEREAS, these four major statistical activities were translated into the detailed 1998 RSCC-CAR Work Program hereto attached and which forms part of this resolution;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the RSCC enjoins all government agencies in the he region to regularly submit statistical data and publications to the NSCB RU-CAR for the NSIC.
