WHEREAS, the Regional Statistical Coordination Committee (RSCC) through NSCB Resolution NO. 1 series of 1992 can create task forces to address specific statistical issues;

WHEREAS, the persistent problem of tourism statistics was recognized by this Committee since 20 May 1998 when it issued RSCC Resolution No. 05-98;

WHEREAS, there is a need to improve tourism statistics so as to realize a better picture of the tourism sector's contribution to the regional economy, the region's marketability to domestic and foreign tourists and for other purposes;

WHEREAS, there is a need to operationalize this endeavor by creating a task force to formulate the necessary work program and undertake the essential groundwork such as coordinating with the Baguio City Tourism Council and concerned NGOs;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Committee create the "Task Force on Tourism" to undertake the above-mentioned tasks and to be composed of the following :

• DOT - Chairman
• CPDO - Member
• NEDA - Member
• NSCB - Member
