WHEREAS, the National Statistics Office (NSO) is the agency mandated to undertake a Census of Population and Housing;

WHEREAS, a Census of Population and Housing will be undertaken on May 1, 2000;

WHEREAS, Batas Pambansa Blg. 72 provides that public school teachers shall be employed for enumeration work;

WHEREAS, to operationalize the above stated provision of Batas Pambansa Blg. 72, a memorandum of agreement (MOA) was forged by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) with NSO on the 21st of February 2000;

WHEREAS, the above cited (MOA) provides that the Division Superintendents of schools shall select the Enumerators from among the head teachers and classroom teachers;

WHEREAS, it is realized that the selection of enumerators has not yet been fully accomplished;

WHEREAS, considering the approaching date of the Census, there is a need to fast track the selection of Enumerators to ensure the success of the event;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the RSCC enjoins the Regional Director of DECS to instruct all the Division Superintendents of Cordillera Administrative Region to facilitate the selection of Enumerators in step with the scheduled Census-related activities of NSO.
