WHEREAS, the Philippine Statistical System (PSS) is a highly decentralized system where many agencies gather, compile, process and disseminate data in accordance with their respective mandates;

WHEREAS, the PSS promotes the accuracy, integrity, timeliness and accessibility in the dissemination of data;

WHEREAS, there is an increasing demand for timely information from data users that may be used for planning, decision-making and policy formulation.

WHEREAS, in order to satisfy the needs of data users, there is a need to prepare a regional statistical calendar showing the exact date of data release;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, be it:

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, that the RSCC-CAR approves the preparation of a Regional Statistical Calendar;

RESOLVED FURTHER, as it is hereby further resolved, that government agencies and Local Government Units submit their statistical calendar to the Secretariat for consolidation every 2nd month of the last quarter every year;
