WHEREAS, assessing the performance of the region is currently principally based on the Regional Income Accounts, which cover the overall economy, are available on an annual basis, and are released seven (7) months after the reference period;

WHEREAS, the system of designated statistics under Executive Order 352 enables the identification and generation of the most critical and essential statistics required for social and economic planning and analysis;

WHEREAS, there is a need to revive the periodic assessment of the region’s economic performance through the preparation of a Regional Economic Situationer (RES);

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Regional Statistical Coordination Committee enjoin all government offices, local government units and private sector to support and assist the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) in the preparation of the RES through the submission, validation and analysis of quarterly/semestral data.
