Approval of the Adoption of the 2009 Policy Agenda of the Regional Statistical Coordination Committee - Cordillera Administrative Region

WHEREAS, the region needs direction and guidance in its statistical activities in order to address regional/local issues as well as national government concerns;

WHEREAS, by virtue of Article I of NSCB Resolution No. 1, Series of 1992, the Regional Statistical Coordination Committee was created to provide direction and guidance to regional/local statistical development activities;

WHEREAS, by virtue of Article III of said NSCB resolution, the RSCC shall, among others, be responsible for instituting measures to strengthen the statistical capability in the regions by resolving problems and issues peculiar to the area within the context of national statistical policies and setting priority on the statistical activities thereby ensuring the timely production of useful and reliable data for regional/local development planning and decision-making;

WHEREAS, the necessary direction and guidance is translated into the 2009 RSCC-CAR Policy Agenda hereto attached (Annex CAR-RR-05-2008) and which forms part of this resolution;

WHEREAS, the corresponding measures for this direction and guidance are integral in said 2009 RSCC-CAR Policy Agenda;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, be it

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Committee approve and adopt the RSCC-CAR 2009 Policy Agenda;

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolution be forwarded to concerned agencies for their information and appropriate action.
