WHEREAS, Presidential Proclamation No. 647 was issued in September 20, 1990 declaring the month of October every year as the National Statistics Month;

WHEREAS, the National Statistics Month or NSM is annually celebrated to recognize the important role of statistics in nation building;

WHEREAS, the observance of NSM has two main objectives:

• To promote, enhance and instill the nationwide awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of statistics to the different sectors of the society; and
• To elicit the cooperation and support of the general public in upgrading the quality an standards of statistics in the country;

WHEREAS, a Task Force on NSM was organized since 2000 to come out with various activities celebrating NSM;

WHEREAS, the theme for this year's celebration is “ Quality Social Protection Statistics for Focused Targeting: Improving Outcomes, Changing Lives ” (“ Kalidad na Estadistika sa Pangangalagang Panlipunan: Pagpapahusay ng Gawa, Pagpapaunlad ng Buhay ” )

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, be it:

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, that the RSCC issues a memorandum circular enjoining all public and private agencies in the Cordillera Administrative Region to support and actively participate in the 22 nd NSM celebration.
