WHEREAS, Presidential Proclamation No. 647 was issued in September 20, 1990 declaring the month of October every year as the National Statistics Month(NSM), and National Statistical Coordination Board(NSCB) Resolution No. 6 issued in December 4, 2000 approving the conduct of the National Convention on Statistics (NSC) every three years;

WHEREAS, the observance of NSM has two main objectives:

• To promote, enhance and instill the nationwide awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of statistics to the different sectors of society; and
• To elicit the cooperation and support of the general in public in upgrading the quality and standards of statistics in the country;

WHEREAS the conduct of the NCS has the following aims:

• To provide a furom for exchanging ideas and experiences in the field of statistics and for discussing recent statistical developments and prevailing issues and problems of the Philippine Statistical System (PSS); and
• To elecit the cooperation and support of statisticiansand professionals in related fields from government, academe and private sector towards a more responsive statistical system;

WHEREAS, the theme for this year's celebration is Sustainable Development: Making Statistics Count,

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, that the RSC invites all public and private agenciesin the Cordillera Administrative Region to support and actively participate in the celebration of the 27th National Statistics Month and the 13th National Convention on Statistics this October 2016;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the agencies/institutions shall submit detailed list of their proposed NSM activities to be conducted on October 2016 to RSC-CAR through the Philippine Statistics Authority(PSA)-CAR on or before a5 August 2016;

RESOLVED FINALLY, that the RSC-CAR provides the agencies/institutions with the PSA Memorandom Circular Number 01-2016 re: Celebration of the 27th National Statistics Month and the National Convention on Statistics in October 2016 for guidance;
