WHEREAS,Article II of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Board Resolution No. 5 Series of 2015, the Regional Statistics Committee(RSC) may modify its composition to provide flexibility in its operations;
WHEREAS, during the first quarter regular meeting of the Committee held last 21 March 2016, it was proposed tahta the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples(NCIP) - CAR be invited as an additional member of the Committee in recognition of the role of the agency in genarating statistics on indigenous peoples(IP) taht are considered crucial to the region;
WHEREAS, the membership of the NCIP-CAR is deemed necessary for a more effective communication and coordination of statistical developments and harmonization of statistical operations of data producing agencies;
WHEREAS, the NCIP-CAR promptly confirmed their interest to join the Committee in response to the letter of invitation sent by the Secretariat on April 27, 2016;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED RSC-CAR approves the addition of the NCIP-CAR to the membership of RSC-CAR;
