SPECIAL RELEASE
This special release presents statistics on vital events occurring for the first quarter of 2023 in the municipality of Mayoyao, Ifugao. This publication shows the total registered birth, marriage, and death statistics by registration status, sex, legitimacy status, age, type of ceremony, and place type. The civil registry documents transmitted monthly by the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO)-Mayoyao to Ifugao Provincial Statistical Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this special release.

In table 2, it, shows that there was more late registration (64%) than timely registered births (36%). Moreover, there were 81% legitimate babies and 19% were illegitimate babies. Legitimate babies were higher by 36. Therefore, more babies were born of wedlock.

In the figure below, it shows that there were more babies born at home (83%) than babies born in the hospital (17%). There was no record of registration on other places.
Table 3 shows that most of the registered marriages were recorded timely within the reglementary period of 30 days.

In Figure 2, it shows that weddings conducted by civil wedding rites had the highest registered marriages at 67%, followed by other religious rites and Roman Catholic at 24% and 9%, respectively.
In the figure below, it shows that among the place types for marriage, weddings held at other specified places had the highest number of registered marriages at 59%, followed by church, mayor’s office and home, with 29%, 9% and 3%, respectively. There was no occurrence of marriage registration at the barangay hall.
In the first quarter, a total of 15 deaths were registered in the municipality of Mayoyao. The month of March recorded the most deaths with 47%. It was followed by the month of January and February at 33% and 20%, respectively.
Table 4 shows that by sex disaggregation, there were more male deaths registered (53%) than female deaths registered (47%).

Table 5 shows that by civil status, deaths with widow/widower and married status were both at 40% and singles with 20%. Moreover, majority of the deaths registered were recorded within the reglementary period of 30 days.
