FIRST QUARTER 2023
MUNICIPALITY OF ASIPULO
 
BIRTH REGISTRATION
This special release presents statistics on vital events occurring for the first quarter of 2023 in the municipality of Asipulo, Ifugao. This publication shows the total registered birth, marriage, and death statistics by registration status, sex, legitimacy status, age, type of ceremony, and place type. The civil registry documents transmitted monthly by the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO)-Asipulo to Ifugao Provincial Statistical Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this special release.

 

Table 1 shows a total of 24 live births were registered in the municipality of Asipulo for the first quarter of 2023. The month of March recorded the greatest number of births with 50% live births. It was followed by the month of January and February with both recorded at 25%. By sex disaggregation, male registration recorded higher at 79%, while female registrations recorded at 21%.

In the table below, it shows that there were more timely registered births (75%) than late registered births (25%). Moreover, there were more legitimate babies (75%) than that of illegitimate babies (25%). More babies were born of wedlock.

Figure 1 shows that babies born in the hospital (71%) was higher than babies born at home (29%). There was no occurrence of birth registrations on other places.

MARRIAGE REGISTRATION
Marriage is defined as a contract of permanent union between a man and a woman entered into in accordance with law for the establishment of conjugal and family life. It is the foundation of the family and an inviolable social institution whose nature, consequences, and incidence are governed by law and not subject to stipulation, except that marriage settlements may fix the property relations during the marriage within the limits provided in the Family Code of the Philippines.
 
In the first quarter of 2023, a total of 32 marriages were registered in the municipality of Asipulo. The month of March recorded the most at 65% marriages. It was followed by the month of January and February with 22% and 13%, respectively.

Table 3 shows that all 32 registered marriages were recorded timely within the reglementary period of 30 days.

The figure below shows that wedding ceremonies conducted by civil wedding rites had the highest registered marriages at 72%, followed by other religious rites and Roman Catholic at 16% and 12%, respectively.

Figure 3 shows that among the place types for marriage, weddings held at the mayor’s office had the highest number of registered marriages at 69%, followed by church weddings at 19%, home weddings at 9%, and registered marriages held in other places at 3%.

DEATH REGISTRATION
Death refers to the permanent disappearance of all evidence of life at any time after live birth has taken place (postnatal cessation of vital function without capability of resuscitation).
 
In the first quarter of 2023, a total of 8 deaths were registered in the municipality of Asipulo. The month of February and March recorded the most registered deaths, with both 38%. It was followed by the month of January at 24%.  

The table below shows that by sex disaggregation, a registration of 75% were female and 25% were male.

Table 5 shows that by civil status, registered deaths with married status recorded 63%, widows/widowers at 37% and there’s no single recorded. In the registration status, a 100% registered timely within the reglementary period of 30 days.
