Table 1 shows a total of 153 live births were registered in the municipality of Alfonso Lista for the first quarter of 2023. The month of January recorded the most at 35% live births. It was followed by the month of February and March at 33% and 31%, respectively. By sex disaggregation, male registration recorded higher at 52%, whilst female registration recorded 48%.

Table 2 shows that 94% were timely registered and 6% were late registered. Moreover, there were 61% legitimate babies and 39% were legitimate babies. Legitimate babies were higher by 35. More babies were born of wedlock.

In the figure below, it shows that there were more babies born in the hospital (61%), than babies born at home (39%).
MARRIAGE REGISTRATION
Marriage is defined as a contract of permanent union between a man and a woman entered into in accordance with law for the establishment of conjugal and family life. It is the foundation of the family and an inviolable social institution whose nature, consequences, and incidence are governed by law and not subject to stipulation, except that marriage settlements may fix the property relations during the marriage within the limits provided in the Family Code of the Philippines.

Figure 2 shows that wedding conducted by civil wedding rites had the highest registered marriages with 58%, followed by other religious rites and Roman Catholic church with 38% and 4%, respectively.
Figure 3 shows that among the place types for marriage, weddings conducted at the mayor’s office had the highest number of registered marriages at 60%, followed by weddings conducted at the church at 38% and other specified places at 2%.
Table 4 shows that by sex aggregation, there were more male death registration with 51% than female deaths registration with 49%.

In table 5, it shows that by civil status, registered deaths with married and widow/widower status were both recorded with 41%, while singles with 18%. Moreover, majority of the registered deaths were recorded within the reglementary period of 30 days.
