SPECIAL RELEASE
This special release presents statistics on vital events occurring for the first quarter of 2023 in the municipality of Aguinaldo, Ifugao. This publication shows the total registered birth, marriage, and death statistics by registration status, sex, legitimacy status, age, type of ceremony, and place type. The civil registry documents transmitted monthly by the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO)-Aguinaldo to Ifugao Provincial Statistical Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this special release.

Table 2 shows that 56% were timely registered and 44% were late registered. Moreover, there were more legitimate babies (56%) than illegitimate babies (44%). Legitimate babies were higher by 7. Therefore, more babies were born of wedlock.

In figure 1, it shows that most babies were born at home (53%), while babies born at the hospital was 47%.
In the first quarter of 2023, a total of 39 marriages were registered in the municipality of Aguinaldo. The month of February recorded the most at 54% marriages. It was followed by the month of March and January with 28% and 18%, respectively.
In the table below, it shows that all 39 registered marriages were recorded timely within the reglementary period of 30 days.

Figure 2 shows that wedding ceremonies conducted by civil wedding rites had the highest registered marriages at 54%, followed by other religious rites and Roman Catholic church at 36% and 10%, respectively.
Figure 3 shows that among the place types for marriage, weddings held at other specified places had the highest number of registered marriages at 46%, followed by the Church at 31%, home at 15%, and at the mayor’s office at 8%.
DEATH REGISTRATION
Death refers to the permanent disappearance of all evidence of life at any time after live birth has taken place (postnatal cessation of vital function without capability of resuscitation).
In the first quarter of 2023, a total of 47 deaths were registered in the municipality of Aguinaldo. The month of January recorded the most at 53% deaths. It was followed by the month of March and February at 34% and 13%, respectively.
Table 4 shows that by sex disaggregation, male death registration was higher (77%) than female death registration (23%).

Table 5 shows that by civil status, registered deaths with married status recorded 72%, widows/widowers at 17% and singles at 11%. Moreover, majority of the deaths registered were recorded late in the reglementary period of 30 days.
