The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Ifugao Provincial Office presents data on Civil Registration submitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCRO) in the eleven municipalities of Ifugao covering 2021second quarter reports. These data are preliminary results tabulated thru the PSA’s Decentralized Vital Statistics System (DVSS).
Based on the DVSS tabulation, there was a total of 1,421 Civil Registration Documents (CRD) in the province, an increase of 8.16 % from 1,305 registered documents in the 2021 first quarter. From April to June, Ifugao generated 933 births, 271 marriages and 217 deaths.
Birth Statistics
Registered live births increased by 14.14 percent
The number of registered live births in the province for the 2nd quarter 2021 totalled to 933, higher by 14.14 percent from 801 births in the 1st quarter 2021.
Lamut still tops registered live births in the 2nd quarter of 2021
The graph below shows that Lamut recorded the most births at 277 or 29.69 percent of the total registered births in the 2021 second quarter. The high number of event is attributed to the fact that Panopdopan District Hospital located in Lamut caters to most health services in Ifugao and nearby provinces; hence, as a rule of registration by place of event, Lamut registers the highest birth events. Alfonso Lista is next with 157 births, followed by Tinoc with 91; far behind are Hungduan with 38, Asipulo 34 and Hingyon reported the least number of births with 19 or 2 percent of the total registered births.
Lamut also recorded highest births with 203 or 25.34 percent of the 801 registered births in the first quarter of 2021.

Most Babies were Born of Married Mothers
In the 2nd quarter of 2021, out of 933 registered live births in the province there were about 64 percent or 602 births that were born legitimate while36 percent or 331 were born out of wedlock. Babies born out of wedlock are those whose parents did not acquire Certificates of Marriage before children were born.
Registered Males Slightly Outnumbered Females
Registered males were higher by two percent than the females by for the second quarter of 2021. 475 or 51 percent were recorded for male while 458 or 49 percent were listed for the female counterpart. Comparing the data with the previous quarter, male births were higher by 3.13 percent with 413 or 51.56 percent while female births were 388 or 48.43 percent of the total registered births.
Most Births were Registered on Time
Out of 933 registered births in the province, there were about 78 percent or 725 births registered on time, and only 22 percent or 208 births were registered late.
Marriage Statistics
Alfonso Lista recorded the highest registered marriages for the 2nd quarter 2021
In the 2nd quarter of 2021, a total of 217 registered marriages occurred in the province, lower by 29.03 percent from the 280 registered marriages in the 1st quarter of 2021.
Alfonso Lista still remained the highest number of registered marriages with 48 couples which comprised of 22 percent of the total marriage registered. It was followed by Tinoc with 42 marriages which comprised 19.35 percent of the total registered marriages in the province. Distantly behind are Asipulo & Banaue with 8 and 6 registered marriages respectively. On the other hand, Hingyon posted the lowest with only 3 or 1.38 percent of the registered couples.

Death Statistics
Alfonso Lista recorded the highest registered deaths for the 2nd quarter 2021
A total of 271 deaths were recorded in the province for the 2nd quarter of 2021, higher by 17.34 percent from 224 registered deaths in the first quarter 2021. The highest death occurrences happened in the municipality of Lamut with 73 which comprised 26.94 percent of the total number of deaths. Alfonso Lista registered 44 deaths or 16.24 percent of the total registered deaths. Trailing behind are Hungduan, Kiangan, Tinoc that recorded 14 each registered deaths while Asipulo and Mayoyao listed 12 and 10 deaths respectively.
More Males Died than Females
In the 2nd quarter of 2021, there were more male deaths with 145 counts or 54 percent than female deaths with 126 or 46 percent of all recorded deaths in the province.
Most Deaths were Registered on Time
In the 2nd quarter of 2021, out of 271 registered deaths in the province there were about 91 percent or 246 deaths that were registered on time while only 9 percent or 25 deaths were registered late.

Lamut listed 376 or 26% vital events in the Province
The province received a total of 1,421 registered documents for the 2nd quarter of 2021, higher by 8.88 percent from 1305 total registered documents of the first quarter 2021.
Lamut reported the highest documents with a total of 376 or 26.46 percent of 1,421 total vital events registered for the second quarter of 2021, followed by Alfonso Lista with 249 or 17.52 percent and Tinoc with 147 or 10.34 percent of all events. Meanwhile, Asipulo and Hingyon listed the least with 54 or 3.80 and 37 or 2.60 respectively.
June was Peak Registration Month at 36% of the total reports
Of the 1,421 registered documents received in the province for the 2nd quarter 2021, June recorded the highest with 509 or 36 percent, 487 or 34 percent in May and 425 or 30 percent in April.
In comparison with the first quarter 2021, March listed the highest with 484 or 37 percent, February with 435 or 33 percent and January with 386 or 30%.
