This report summarizes the data gathered from January to March 2021 documents submitted from the local civil registry offices of the eleven municipalities in the province of Ifugao. The number of vital events in Ifugao for the 1st quarter reached 1, 305 registered documents. This represents 10.88 % increase from the 1,177 registered vital events from the previous quarter. The province generated the following statistics: 801 for birth, 280 for marriage and 224 for death.
In this January to March 2021 issue, the Philippine Statistics Authority of Ifugao presents the number of births, marriages, and deaths registered by municipalities in the province. The data are preliminary result from the Decentralized Vital Statistics System 2011 based on the documents submitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices in Ifugao.
Birth Statistics
Registered live births decreased by 3.03 percent
The number of registered live births in the province of Ifugao in the 1st quarter 2021 totaled to 801, lower by 3.03 percent from 826 registered live births in the 4th quarter 2020.
Lamut remained top registered live births in the 1st quarter 2021
Among the 11 municipalities in the province, Lamut still recorded the most number of births in the province of Ifugao for the 1st quarter of 2021 with 203, lower by 29.02 percent from 286 total registered births in the 4th quarter 2020. Lamut is the location of the government hospital in Ifugao which is the Panopdopan District Hospital, hence, a high number of registered births were recorded. Other municipalities with high number of registered births are Alfonso Lista with 167 births and distantly behind are Kiangan with 83, Lagawe with 68 and Tinoc with 57 births.
Meanwhile, the municipality of Hingyon had reported still the least number of births in the province with 8 or 1 percent of the total registered births.

Most Babies were Born of Married Mothers
In the 1st quarter of 2021, out of 801 registered live births in the province there were about 63.92 percent or 512 births were legitimate, higher by 4.28 percent from 491 total registered births in the 4th quarter. Only 36.08 percent or 289 births were born out of wedlock, lower by 13.73 percent from 335 registered live births in the 4th quarter 2020.
More Males were Born than Females
Registered births for males have 413 births or 51.56 percent, lower by 3.05 from 426 registered males in the 4th quarter. Registered births for females have 388 births or 48.44 percent for females, lower by 3 percent from 400 total registered births for females in the 4th quarter.
Most Births were Registered on Time
Out of 801 registered births in the province, there were about 73.28 percent or 587 births registered on time, and only 26.72 percent or 214 births were registered late.
Marriage Statistics
Alfonso Lista recorded the highest registered marriages for the 1st quarter 2021
In the 1st quarter of 2021, a total of 280 registered marriages occurred in the province of Ifugao, higher by 61.85 percent from the 173 registered marriages in the 4th quarter of 2020.
Alfonso Lista still remained the highest number of registered marriages with 63 couples which comprised of 23 percent of the total marriage registered. It was followed by Lamut with 39 marriages which comprised 13.93 percent of the total registered marriages in the province. Distantly behind are Tinoc and Asipulo with 31 & 30 registered marriages respectively. On the other hand, Banaue posted the lowest with only 6 or 2.14 percent of the registered couples.

Death Statistics
Alfonso Lista recorded the highest registered deaths for the 1st quarter 2021
A total of 224 deaths recorded in the province of Ifugao for the 1st quarter of 2021, higher by 25.84 percent from 178 registered deaths of the 4th quarter 2020. The highest death occurrences happened in the municipality of Alfonso Lista with 50 deaths which comprised 22.32 percent of the total number of deaths. Lamut registered 35 deaths which comprised 15.63 percent of the total registered deaths. Trailing behind are Banaue with 23, Lagawe with 21, Kiangan and Mayoyao with 19 registered deaths respectively.
Meanwhile, Hingyon is lagged behind at the bottom track with 6 registered deaths or 2.68 percent.
More Males Died than Females
In the 1stquarter of 2021, there were about 134 or 59.82 percent registered deaths for males and only 90 or 40.18 percent for females. This indicates that more males had died than females.
Most Deaths were registered on Time
In the 1st quarter of 2021, out of 224 registered deaths in the province there were about 88.39 percent or 198 deaths were registered on time and only 11.61 percent or 26 deaths were registered late.

280 Documents or 21.6 Percent of the Total Documents was from the Municipality of Alfonso Lista
The province of Ifugao received a total of 1,305 registered documents for the 1st quarter of 2021, higher by 10.88 percent from 1,177 total registered documents of the 4th quarter 2020. The municipality of Alfonso Lista has the highest documents received with a total of 280 or 21.46 percent. It was followed by the municipalities of Lamut with 277 or 21.23 of the total documents. Distantly behind are Kiangan with 125, Lagawe with 112 and Tinoc with 103. Meanwhile, the least municipality received was still Hingyon with only 23, higher by 4.55 percent from 22 total documents in the previous quarter.
484 Documents or 37.09 Percent of the Total Documents was from the Month of March
Of the 1,305 registered documents received in the province for the 1st quarter 2021, 484 or 37.09 percent were recorded in March. On the other hand, the month of January recorded the least with 386 documents or 29.58 percent.
