The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Abra Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) successfully turned over the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data to the municipality of Lacub, Abra on 19 January 2024 at the Lacub Municipal Hall, Poblacion, Lacub, Abra. PSA RSSO CAR Regional Director (RD) Villafe P. Alibuyog and PSO Abra Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Felixberto B. Perdido led the Turnover Ceremony together with Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) II Alex Ian A. Pacis Jr, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Elizabeth B. Layugan,  Local Government Unit (LGU) officials and employees of Lacub headed by Hon. Mayor Nestor B. Bersamina.

            The 2022 CBMS Data Turnover Ceremony (DTC) formally started with a prayer and followed by the singing of the national anthem. MLGOO Elizabeth B. Layugan delivered the welcome remarks in behalf of Hon. Vice Mayor Estelita B. Bersamina. The video message of National Statistician Claire Dennis S. Mapa, Ph.D. was played to the audience. RD Alibuyog and CSS Perdido delivered their messages. They expressed their gratitude to the LGU for their unwavering support to the different projects and programs of PSA. They emphasized the importance of Republic Act No. 11315, otherwise known as the Community-Based Monitoring System Act. They also shared the relevance of the CBMS data, which will be of help in the evidence-based local planning of policies and programs towards poverty alleviation in the municipality particularly in the different sectors that need to be prioritized. Senior Statistical Specialist (SrSS) Ludivina S. Beñas presented the highlights of 2022 CBMS results of Lacub through a powerpoint presentation. RD Alibuyog, CSS Perdido, Hon. Mayor Bersamina, and MLGOO Elizabeth Layugan signed the Data Turnover Agreement. RD Alibuyog and CSS Perdido handed over the 2022 CBMS data to the Local Chief Executive, other officials and employees of LGU Lacub. Hon. Mayor Bersamina expressed his gratitude to RD Alibuyog, CSS Perdido and PSO staff for going to their municipality for the said event. He also expressed his gratitude to the PSO Abra staff for their patience and dedication all throughout the process of the 2022 CBMS roll-out. He shared that the 2022 CBMS data will play a big role in formulating plans and programs for the betterment of their municipality. Engineer Cresenciano Bernal, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, presented the plans and programs that will utilize the CBMS data and ensured the security of CBMS data. He also told that with the CBMS data, it is now easier for them to make plans because they have now reliable basis. Sangunian Bayan member Reynaldo L. Bernal closed the ceremony with words of gratitude to all the participants.

The 2022 CBMS Data Turnover Ceremony was successfully conducted through the support and collaborative efforts of PSA, DILG, and LGU Lacub. The data gathered by the enumerators were supervised by hired CBMS supervisors and PSA regular personnel. Data processing, data review and validation were also conducted by machine processors, PSA supervisors and CBMS office-based personnel, and LGU personnel, respectively, to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the 2022 CBMS data generated.
