The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will be conducting the Commodity Flow Survey (CFS) quarterly starting this April 2025. This is a new survey undertaken by the PSA that aims to gather quarterly information on the movement of commodities from one province to another via road mode of transport. The Benguet Provincial Office will cover eighty-three (83) selected sample establishments within Baguio City and Benguet.
This survey covers selected establishments engaged in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing, Mining and Quarrying, Manufacturing, and Wholesale Trade Sections in the country. The generated statistics from this survey will enhance the current Domestic Trade Statistics (DTS) which compiles the movement of air and water modes of transport only.
The PSA adheres to the principles of transparency, legitimate purpose, and proportionality pursuant to R.A. No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and R.A. No. 10625 or the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013. All information gathered on the survey are confidential and not for disclosure unless authorized by law. Moreover, PSA will release data only in the form of summaries or statistical tables.
The PSA will utilize Self-Administered Questionnaires (SAQ), physical or electronic copy, as the primary method of collection to distribute and collect the 2025 CFS questionnaires.
PSA-Benguet Provincial Statistical Office enjoins all selected sample establishments to support the 2025 CFS by providing the required information to authorized PSA personnel who will visit the establishments to distribute and collect the questionnaires.
