The Philippine Statistics Authority – Cordillera Administrative Region (PSA-CAR) released the CAR Tourism Satellite Accounts (TSA) Report: 2016-2021 and the Compendium of Tourism Statistics last June 5, 2023.
The TSA is an accounting framework adopted by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and is designed to measure the contribution of the tourism industry to the country's economy. This represents the goods and services produced by tourism activities which are aligned with the UNWTO standards, concepts, classifications, and definitions. It provides stakeholders with indicators to guide them in crafting public policies and business strategies for tourism. The TSA harmonizes and fits tourism statistics to and from an economic standpoint.
Compendium on Tourism Statistics presents time series data, including inventories of tourism spots and events. It also covers important data on tourism statistics such as tourism arrivals and expenditures, number of accommodation establishments, occupancy rate and other available tourism-related information.

PSA-CAR extends its utmost appreciation to the members of the Technical Working Group on Tourism Statistics for the technical assistance extended in the compilation of the first regional tourism satellite accounts of the country. We thank all our data source agencies, especially the Department of Tourism-Cordillera and the local government units for providing data and photos for the compendium on tourism statistics. Our collaboration will continue for the continuous compilation and improvement of the region’s tourism satellite accounts, and the generation and compilation of local tourism statistics for evidenced-based decision making.
