The Philippine Statistics Authority – Cordillera administrative Region (PSA-CAR) presented the results of the 2022 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Tracker that details the region’s status on achieving the SDGs during the First Regular Meeting of the Regional Committee on SDG Committee Meeting held on 30 May 2023 at the RDC Hall, Botanical Garden, Baguio City.

The SDG Tracker is the methodology developed by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and approved by the PSA Board in 2020 for implementation in the coutry.

PSA-CAR Chief Statistical Specialist Aldrin Federico R. Bahit, Jr. said that of the 54 SDG indicators with 2022 data, 25 indicators were on track in meeting the target, 16 needs acceleration to achieve the target, and 13 requires a reverse trend to achieve the target.

The results are very important input in decision-making and implementation of programs and projects. The SDG Watch and the reports generated by the UNESCAP National SDG Tracker can be accessed at https://rssocar.psa.gov.ph/car-sdg.
