
The Philippine Statistics Authority – Cordillera Administrative Region (PSA-CAR) successfully conducted the Second Level Training for the 2025 National Migration Survey (NMS) from July 28 to August 1, 2025 at Prince Plaza Hotel, Legarda Road, Baguio City.
The 2025 NMS marks the second nationwide survey on migration. As stipulated under PSA Board Resolution No. 16 Series of 2024, approved on 16 February 2024, the NMS will be conducted every 10 years starting this year. The survey aims to generate critical information on the mobility of Filipinos to support policymakers and program managers in designing and evaluating strategies to improve services and assistance for both international and domestic migrants.
Serving as resource persons from the PSA Central Office were Statistical Specialist I Joanna U. Bentoso and Assistant Statistician Gemelyn F. Macabiog, together with Senior Statistical Specialist Brozybroz Y. Mateo and Statistical Analyst-COSW Jennilyn M. Odanos from PSA – CAR. The training underscored the importance of a thorough understanding of the prescribed instructions and guidelines, as well as the participants’ strict adherence to these protocols to ensure the successful implementation of the 2025 NMS operations.

Data collection for the 2025 NMS will be conducted from 04 August to September 5, 2025. All information gathered from sampled households will be handles with the highest level of confidentiality and is safeguarded under Republic Act No. 10173, also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012. The collected data will not be used for taxation, investigation, or regulation purposes.
