The Philippine Statistics Authority – Cordillera Administrative Region (PSA-CAR) conducted the Workshop of the Technical Work Group (TWG) on Environment Statistics held at The Plaza Lodge Hotel, Baguio City, 29 November 2022.

 

The highlights of the said activity included the preliminary estimates of timber resources, both for stock monetary accounts covering the years 2019 to 2021. For mineral resources, gold and copper reserves were discussed to validate the preliminary stock accounts for these mineral resources of the region. For solid waste accounts, data on daily waste generation were presented and discussed. The data availability for Cordillera’s energy accounts was the last agenda of the workshop. 

 

PSA-CAR extends its utmost appreciation to the members of the TWG on Environment Statistics for the data they provided and, more importantly, for their technical expertise. We will continue our collaborative efforts in building the region’s databank of environment statistics to support the preparation, monitoring and implementation of environmental programs and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
