The Philippine Statistics Authority – Cordillera Administrative Region (PSA-CAR) conducted the Regional Data Processing Task Force Training on the 2022 Census of Agriculture (CAF) for Households and Barangay Interviews at Lafayette Luxury Suites, Loakan Road, Baguio City last 16-18 October 2023. 

The 2022 CAF interviews were conducted with all the households in the sampled barangays. In order to ascertain who in each household maintained or operated an agricultural, livestock, poultry, or fishing activity in a span of over a year, starting 01 January 2022 to 31 December 2022. The barangay or Enumeration  Area (EA) datafiles for census data acquired using Computer-Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI), Pen and Paper Personal Interview (PAPI), telephone interview, or Self-Administered Questionnaires (SAQ) will be retrieved from the CAF-Information System central server from the uploaded data through the CAPI applications.

Together with the participants from other regions who attended the regional task force training, the data processing  for households and barangay interviews was carried out online via zoom platform by the Busybee, Inc. who discussed the Data Processing System (DPS), how to handle geo-ID validation, data consistency checks within and between forms, generation of marginal totals, evaluation of preliminary tables in comparison to previous census data, and uploading of data files to the central server. 

We thank the support of our respondents to the 2022 CAF who accommodated our enumerators and patiently provided responses to our questionnaires. The preliminary statistical tables are expected to be released by March 2024.
