PSA Benguet advised the public regarding the National ID services that can be available in six different locations from Mondays to Saturdays, 8AM to 5PM.

Baguio City – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Benguet is urging all residents of the province to utilize the various services offered by the National ID. This serves as a foundational and valid proof of identity that can facilitate easier transactions with both the government and private sectors by streamlining the validation and authentication processes.

Established under Republic Act No. 11055, the National ID was signed into law by former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on August 6, 2018. This act aims to create a single national identification system that provides valid proof of identity for Filipino citizens and resident aliens in the Philippines.

The available National ID services include National ID registration for new applicants, retrieval of lost Transaction Reference Numbers (TRNs), and issuance of the National ID in paper form.

Meanwhile, PSA Benguet National ID Team has designated several locations for registrations and other services from 8 AM to 5 PM, Mondays to Saturdays, unless otherwise an advisory is posted. These are the following registration centers:

- Km 5, Municipal Gym, La Trinidad, Benguet

- Abatan, Buguias, Benguet

- Malcolm Square, Baguio City

- Centermall, Baguio City

- PSA-Benguet, 1st Floor Unique Printing Press Bldg., No 27 Legarda Road, Baguio City

- PSA-CRS, 2nd Floor CTLL Building, 141 Abanao Extension, Rizal Monument, Baguio City (Inside Dely’s Inn Building)

Additionally, the National ID Team is proactively reaching out to various municipalities, schools, and universities to ensure that all individuals are informed and registered.

Promotion of the Digital National ID

As part of recent improvements to the National ID system, PSA Benguet is promoting the Digital National ID. This new service allows users easier access to their National ID anytime and anywhere. The Digital National ID is recognized as having the same validity as both the National ID Card and the National ID in paper form, as confirmed by the PSA's public advisory dated June 11, 2024.

“As many transactions are now conducted online, the Digital National ID provides registered individuals with a readily available proof of identity on their mobile devices. We encourage more individuals to download and use their Digital National ID to facilitate access to financial services,” stated PSA Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General.

Registration Process

In National ID Registration, four steps or processes will be followed.

1. Go to any registration center and bring your supporting documents. The registration centers or locations in Benguet are mentioned above. The National ID Team also conducts mobile registration in far-flung areas, thus, check the social media pages of PSA Benguet for updates.

The full list of supporting documents can be found in this link:

https://philsys.gov.ph/supporting-documents/

Note: Bring one (1) primary supporting document. If an individual does not have at least one of the primary supporting documents, they must bring two (2) secondary supporting documents.

2. Present your supporting documents to the Registration Kit Operator (RKO) and have your demographic data validated, and your biometric information such as fingerprint, iris-scan, and front-facing photograph captured.

3. Review and confirm your demographic and biometric information.

4. You will be issued a transaction slip containing your transaction reference number (TRN). Keep your transaction slip, as your TRN can be used to track your National ID delivery and your ePhilID/National ID in paper format availability.

Note: The Digital National ID/National ID in paper format can also be obtained immediately after registering to the National ID system if it is confirmed that there is no duplicate or discrepancy in the personal information provided.

As of 31 December 2024, the PSA recorded 91,739,517 registrations in the country, meanwhile, 54,745,094 National ID Cards have been delivered.

The PSA and the National ID Team will remain dedicated to their mission to deliver National ID services and reach even the farthest, promoting inclusivity in the Philippines' identification system.
