The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will be conducting the nationwide September 2021 Farm Prices Survey (FPS). The FPS is a regular monthly activity which aims to gather reliable data on farmgate prices on major agricultural commodities. Similarly, the survey intends to develop sets of price indices and measures the purchasing power of growers of selected agricultural products. It also serves as inputs in analyzing the seasonal trends and variations in agricultural prices in support to policies and programs for the development of the agriculture sector.

 

In Benguet (including Baguio City), all the municipalities/areas will be visited by an interviewer. At least five (5) farmers who traded the commodity will be selected and

interviewed in each of the sampled municipality; and to gather price information for the last transaction of the sample farmer happening within the survey month.

 

The PSA-Benguet Provincial Statistical Office is appealing the public to support the said activities. The office assures that all information collected by the hired Statistical Researchers from sample farmers/operators shall be kept strictly confidential and shall not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or regulation as provided under Article 55 of RA 10625.
