Prohibited Printing: The PSA is the sole authorized entity to print and issue the National ID in paper format. Unauthorized printing, preparation, or issuance of the National ID is a punishable offense under Republic Act No. 11055, the Philippine Identification System Act.
Legal Consequences: Violators may face imprisonment ranging from three (3) to six (6) years and fines between ₱1,000,000 and ₱3,000,000.
Digital National ID: The Digital National ID is designed for electronic use and should be accessed and presented via mobile phones or other electronic devices. It is encouraged to download the Digital National ID through the official website: https://national-id.gov.ph/.
