The Philippine Statistics Authority – Cordillera Administrative Region (PSA-CAR), PSA Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Benguet and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tublay jointly conducted Management Information System (MIS) and Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Seminar-Workshop on October 13, 2023 in line with the celebration of the 34^th National Statistics Month (NSM). 

The participants of the said activity were the Barangay Civil Registration Agents of Tublay, Benguet as part of their capacity building. The event also aimed to raise awareness on the use and importance of statistics in their functions in facilitating the civil registration efforts of the Local Civil Registry Office of the municipality, headed by Municipal Civil Registrar Ruth Elyn Y. Dino. Another objective of this activity was to improve their information dissemination materials by introducing the use of infographics.

Topics presented were basic statistics concepts, migration, and population projection, which were discussed by Senior Statistical Specialist (SrSS) Nalyn C. Esican of PSA Benguet. Workshop on computing annual growth rate and other indicators derived from population data was also conducted and experienced first-hand by the participants. This was followed by an introduction to basic topics on the preparation of infographics discussed by SrSS Betina Joy V. Bermillo of PSA CAR, such as data visualization, data storytelling, types of infographics by purpose and components of an infographic.
