The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Abra Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) PhilSys Registry Team (PRT) conducted more intensive house-to-house PhilSys mobile Step 2 registration in different barangays of the province. Prior to conducting the activity, PhilSys Focal Person (PFP) Jonnel P. Aveño facilitated a brief meeting with the Abra PRT on January 22, 2024. One of the agenda PFP Aveño discussed was the strategies to be executed to increase the daily average output of the whole PhilSys team. One strategy he suggested is to conduct more intensive house-to-house mobile registration. He instructed the team to spread from one another to reach different sitios in a certain barangay. He also suggested that the team has to go house-to-house early in the morning of each operating day and ask for those still unregistered to PhilSys. They will collect and list the names and inform them that the PRT will set-up mobile registration centers in certain parts of the sitio or the barangay.  On the same day, the Abra PRT started the said strategy and continuously implemented it. They conducted registration in barangays Angad, Agtangao, Malita, Sao-atan, Palao, Sappaac, Cosili East, Cosili West, Dangdangla, Lingtan, Lubong, and Maoay of Bangued, barangays Patiao and Malamsit of Peñarrubia, barangays North Poblacion, South Poblacion, and Labon of Bucay and barangay Tuquib of Villaviciosa. This strategy aimed to reach the unregistered individuals residing in remote and far-flung areas and those who do not have time to go to the registration center.
