PSA Ifugao conducted a 2023 Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar

 

 

In celebration of the 2023 National Women's Month in the Philippines with the theme "WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society," the Philippines Statistics Authority- Ifugao organized a Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar on March 27, 2023, in the PSA Conference Room, RTK Building, Poblacion South, Lagawe, Ifugao. The seminar was aimed at promoting gender equality and women's empowerment in the workplace. The speaker, Ms. Cecile Unghiyon, Social Welfare Officer III from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development, shared valuable insights on the topic.

 

 

Ms. Unghiyon began the seminar by discussing the importance of gender equality and an inclusive society. She emphasized that gender inequality is a significant problem that affects women's lives in various aspects, including education, health, and economic opportunities. She also highlighted the importance of promoting a culture of respect and understanding towards diversity and inclusion in society.
