The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-Benguet Provincial Statistical Office will be conducting the monthly Labor Force Survey (LFS) from 08 to 28 September 2023. The conduct of monthly LFS is based on the PSA Board Resolution No. 08, Series of 2020, “Approving the conduct of the monthly labor force survey and the generation of the monthly labor and employment statistics.”

The monthly LFS is a nationwide survey of households to gather data on the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population. It aimed to provide a quantitative framework for the preparation of plans and formulation of policies affecting the labor market and to provide high-frequency statistical information on the Philippine labor market to better monitor and understand the current job situation and economy in the Philippines.

Four (4) hired Statistical Researchers (SRs) will be involved in data collection. Utilizing the 2023 Geo-Enabled Master Sample, a total of 194 sample households/housing units will be covered from the different municipalities of Benguet including Baguio City. The Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) approach will be employed during the data collection.

PSA is committed to deliver relevant and reliable statistics. Hence, the agency encourages the public, especially the sample households, to participate in the various censuses and surveys conducted by PSA.

Under Section 26 of Republic Act 10625, the household-supplied information will be held strictly confidential and the report cannot be used for purposes of taxation, investigation, or enforcement procedure, nor will be published except in the form of statistical summaries which no reference to any individual person shall appear.
