29 July 2022 – BAGUIO CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority – Cordillera Administrative Region (PSA-CAR) has once again proved to be a regional office that continues to uphold its commitment to public service in keeping with the vision of a solid, responsive, and world-class authority on quality statistics, efficient civil registration, and inclusive identification system for all.
PSA-CAR was awarded as the Best PSA Region among the 17 PSA Regional Offices in the country in the recently concluded 2021 PSA Awards held on 28 July 2022 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Quezon City. Completing the Top 5 Regions were PSA Region 1 (2nd), Bicol Region (3rd), MIMAROPA (4th) and Region VIII (5th). PSA-CAR sustained its position as the PSA Top Region in the country for five (5) consecutive years since 2017.
The regional office garnered top awards in the following categories:
o 1st Place - Civil Registration
o 2nd Place - Statistical Operations
o 3rd Place - Financial, Human Resource, and Administrative Services
o 4th Place - Statistical Frameworks and Indicators System
o 4th Place - Information Dissemination
o 4th Place - Partnership and Linkages
o 5th Place - Statistical Planning and Coordination
o Special Award in the implementation of the Pilot Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS)
Likewise, the following PSA Provincial Statistical Offices were awarded the following:

o Top 4 Best PSA Provincial Office

PSA-Mt. Province
o Top 11 Best PSA Provincial Office
o 2nd Place - Financial, Human Resource, and Administrative Services
Also, PSA-Kalinga, and PSA-Ifugao received awards as the Top 10, and 12 Best PSA Provincial Offices, respectively.
While fulfilling the 2021 banner theme of “Strengthening Digital Transformation and Improving Quality of Statistics Products and Services: The Ways to Manage the New Normal,” PSA-CAR’s performance outshined the challenges brought by working about in a pandemic environment.
The PSA-CAR shares these awards with its partner agencies and offices, private establishment and organizations, and the local government units in the Cordillera, and commits to continue bringing quality and innovative service to the public in the fulfillment of its mandate on statistical operations (conduct of surveys and censuses, estimation of economic and environmental accounts, and compilation of socio-economic indicators), civil registration, the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), and the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS).
