The National Statistical Coordination Board–Cordillera Administrative Region (NSCB-CAR) has completed the poverty maps of the province of Apayao province. The 2007 and 2009 poverty maps of Apayao will be presented in the next meeting of Regional Statistical Coordination Committee CAR.

The 2007 and 2009 poverty maps of Apayao include the following indicators: newborn with birthweight less than 2.5 kgs., underweight school children 0-6 years old, infant mortality rate, child mortality rate, population to health workers ratio, number of households without access to safe drinking water, number of crimes against person, and elementary cohort non-survival rate.

The basic data used for the poverty maps were compiled and provided by the Provincial Planning and Development Office of the Provincial Government of Apayao.
