The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) – CAR conducted a one-day Target Setting Workshop for the Cordillera Results Matrix (RM) 2023-2028 and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) on 29 May 2023 held at the RDC Hall, Botanical Garden, Baguio City. The workshop was attended by representatives from different regional line agencies, local government units, academe, and the private sector.

The main objective of the workshop was to review and finalize indicators included in the SDG Watch and Regional Development Plan (RDP) Results Matrices (RM) as well as identify initial regional and provincial annual targets as guide for better monitoring of the region’s sustainable development performance.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is the official repository of SDG indicators and in-charge of updating and monitoring the SDG Watch. PSA – CAR Chief Statistical Specialist Aldrin Federico R. Bahit, Jr. presented an overview and the challenges in monitoring the SDG in the region.  The SDG tracker developed by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) was discussed and the output of the tracker. He also encouraged the agencies to continously provide PSA-CAR with their latest available data for regional SDG monitoring.
