The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the Philippine Statistical Association, Inc. (PSAI) recently conducted the 26th Philippine Statistics Quiz National Finals at Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila last December 06, 2022.

The Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) is a national annual contest designed to assess the statistical knowledge of freshmen enrolled in colleges and universities across the country's 17 regions.

The PSQ National Championship consisted of three rounds equivalent to one point for each question answered correctly in the first two rounds, and two points for each correct answer in the third round. Each round consisted ten questions.The questions for the three rounds were mostly statistical computations.

Accumulating the final scores of 35 points, 33 points, and 32 points, the contestants from the National Capital Region (NCR) bagged the championship title, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) in second place, and Central Visayas in third. The names of the winners and their coaches were as follows:

Coach: Julius D. Selle Central Visayas

The winners and their coaches received plaques, certificates, cash prizes and tokens. PSA and PSAI are looking forward for the continuous support of the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of the country in promoting statistics and its importance through participating in the annual PSQ and other statistical activities.
