The economy of Abra grew by 4.4 percent in 2023, a slower pace compared to the           9.1 percent growth recorded in 2022. This growth boosted the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Abra from PhP 24.57 billion in 2022 to PhP 25.65 billion in 2023. (Figure 1)

Among the 16 industries, the fastest growths were observed in Transportation and storage with 29.8 percent, followed by Accommodation and food service activities with 29.4 percent, and Other services with 13.3 percent. On the contrary,                                  Public administration and defense; compulsory social activities and                            Agriculture, forestry, and fishing posted negative growth rates, declining by 1.3 and 1.9 percent, respectively. (Figure 2)
