- The population of Ifugao as of 01 May 2020 is 207,498 based on the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH). This accounts for about 11.54 percent of the Cordillera Administrative Region population in 2020.
- The 2020 population of Ifugao is higher by 4,696 from the population of 202,802 in 2015, and 16,420 more than the population in 2010. Moreover, it is higher by 45,875 compared with the population of 161,623 in 2000, see table 1.

- Among the eleven municipalities in the province , Alfonso Lista (Potia) had the biggest population in 2020 with 34,061 persons, followed by Lamut with 26,235 persons, Aguinaldo with 21,128 persons, Banaue with 20,652 persons, Lagawe (Burnay) with 18,876 persons, Tinoc with 18,475 persons, Kiangan with 17,691 persons, Asipulo with 15,963 persons, Mayoyao with 15,621 persons , and Hingyon with 9,930 persons. Hungduan had the smallest population with 8,866 persons, see Table 3.

- Tinoc was the fastest growing municipality in the province with an annual population growth rate (PGR) of 2.33 percent from 2015 to 2020. It was followed by Aguinaldo with a PGR of 1.80 percent, Hingyon (1.56 percent), Alfonso Lista (1.24 percent), Asipulo (0.95 percent), Lamut and Kiangan with identical PGR (0.78 percent) , Lagawe (-0.50 percent), Banaue (-1.17 percent), Hungduan (-1.22 percent). Mayoyao posted the lowest PGR of -2.16 percent, see Table 4.

- Of the 176 barangays in the province, the largest in terms of population size is Santa Maria, Alfonso Lista with 5,414 persons. It was followed by Camandag, Asipulo with 4,194 persons, and Pinto, Alfonso Lista with 3,277 persons, see Table 5.

- Of the Top ten least populous barangays in the province, four came from the Municipality of Mayoyao, three from Lagawe and two from Kiangan. Meanwhile, Banga of Lagawe had the smallest population with 114 persons, followed by Liwo, Mayoyao with 195 persons, and Luta, Lagawe with 237 persons. See Table 6.
