From 2015 to 2020, the annual population growth rate of Rizal is 2.94 percent, lower by 1.67 percent as compared from 2010 to 2015 with 1.27 annual population growth rate. (Table 2)

The municipality of Rizal is composed of 14 barangays. Among the 14 barangays, 13 barangays or 92.86 percent increase in population as compared to 2015 population and only one (1) barangay was decreased. This was barangay Babalag East from 1,164 persons in 2015 to 1,132 person in 2020. There were 10 barangays that have more than 1000 population in 2020 and there was no barangays that have less than 500 population. (Table 3)

Among the 14 barangays in the municipality of Rizal, the largest in terms of population size is Liwan West with 3,157 persons. It was followed by Babalag West with 2,156 persons, Macutay ranked 3rd with 1,998 persons, Santor with 1,646 and Liwan East with 1,504. The combined population of these five barangays accounted for about 53.50 percent of the total population of Rizal in 2020. (Table 4)

Barangay San Quintin was the least populous barangay in the municipality of Rizal with 597 persons. It was followed by San Francisco with 711 persons, San Pedro ranked 3rd with 785 persons, Romualdez with 871 persons, Kinama belongs to top five least populous barangays with 1,056 persons. (Table 5)

The total land area of Rizal is 281.79 square kilometers and the population density of Rizal in 2020 was posted at 69 persons per square kilometer. This represents an increase of 9 persons per square kilometer in five (5) years time. In 2010, there were about 57 persons in every square kilometer of land in the municipality (Table 6)

The population figures in this report were based on the results of the 2020 CPH. The land areas were based on the 2013 Masterlist of land Areas of Cities and Municipalities provided to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) by the Land Management Bureau (LMB).
