On the average, 36 marriages were solemnized daily in the Region

• The Cordillera Administrative Region registered a total of 3,245 marriages for the 2nd quarter of 2022, an increase of 67.8% from the same quarter of last year’s figure of 1,934.
• There is an increase in the number of marriages registered in the Region across all provinces from the 2^nd quarter of 2022 to the same period last year. Apayao had the highest percentage growth at 214.6%. Benguet, on the other hand, has the lowest upturn at 14.3%.
• On the average,  32 marriages were solemnized daily in the region or one marriage being officiated every  hour for this quarter
• Among provinces,  Benguet excluding Baguio City had the most number of registered marriages, accounting for 6 out of every 25 marriages in the Region. It was followed by  Kalinga  with 4 out of every 25 recorded marriages.
• Mt Province recorded the least  marriages with 7 in every 10 marriages in the Region.

Most Grooms and Brides were married between the ages of 25 – 29 years old

• Most grooms and brides in the Cordillera Administrative Region belong to the age group 25-29 with 37.2% and 36.9%, respectively.
• Marriages involving teenage brides were almost five times more than marriage with teenage grooms.
• Of the total marriages in CAR, one in every ten marriages in the Region belong to the seniors sixty years old and over.
• A bride’s age upon marriage ranged from 15 to 79, with the least age being 15 and 73 as the oldest. Whereas for grooms,  the youngest age at which they married was 18, and 73 being the oldest.

19 out of 50 Marriages in CAR is through Civil Ceremony

• The most common type of marriage in the Cordillera Administrative Region is through civil ceremony with 1,238 or 38%.
• Almost 3 in every 10 recorded marriages in the region is though Roman Catholic ceremonies.
• Out of the total solemnized marriages in CAR, 8 out of every 25 recorded marriages were solemnized  under other religious ceremonies, while  muslim marriage with eight  registered marriages.

The municipalities of Benguet had the greatest percentage of marriages in the Region

• Baguio City has the highest proportion of the number of registered marriages among the cities in the Region with 542,  City of Tabuk coming in second  with 272 marriages.
• The Benguet municipalities have the greatest percentage of registered marriages in the Region. La Trinidad with 6%, Tuba with  4%, and Itogon and Mankayan with 3% and 2 % respectively.

Municipalities with least number of Registered Marriages

• As of the 2^nd quarter of 2022, the province of Abra has the most municipalities with a low number  of marriages registered, ranging from 1 to 9.
