Marriages Ceremonies in CAR increased by 61 percent
- In the Cordillera Administrative Region, there were 6,131 marriages recorded in the first semester of 2022, an increase of 61% from the 3,812 marriages registered during the same period in the previous year.
- There is an increase in the number of marriages registered in the Region across all provinces from the first semester of 2022 to the same period last year. Abra had the highest percentage growth at a 138%, followed by Apayao at 116%. Benguet, on the other hand, has the lowest upturn at 25%.
- During the first semester of 2022, an average of 34 marriages were solemnized daily, or one wedding ceremony every hour.
- Benguet had the most marriages registered out of all the provinces in the region, accounting for 27 of every 100 marriages, excluding Baguio City. With 4 out of 25 marriages recorded, Abra came in second.
- With 434 or 7% of all the registered marriages in the Region, Mt Province had the fewest marriages, for this period.

Most Grooms and Brides in CAR belong in the age group 25 – 29 yrs old
- Seven in every ten marriages in the Cordillera Administrative Region belong to the age group 25-29.
- During the first semester of 2022, there are more marriages involving teenage grooms with 6 in every 10 marriages compared to teenage brides at 1 in every 10 marriages.
- Eighty-one marriages in the Region that have been registered are between seniors who are sixty years of age or older.

Civil Rights Highest in the 1st Semester of 2022
- Among all other types of ceremony, civil marriages have the biggest number of registered marriages for the first semester of 2022 with 2,772.
- There were a total of 1,626 marriages solemnized through Roman Catholic ceremonies. Meanwhile, 10 marriages were recorded for Muslim rites, while there were eight registered marriages under tribal rites.
- Seven out of twenty five registered marriages were solemnized under other religious ceremonies.

Baguio City has the Highest Number of Marriages Registration
- Baguio City leads the region’s cities in terms of the total number of marriages recorded, with 1,016 marriages, it was followed by City of Tabuk with 403 marriages.
- The municipalities of Benguet have the greatest proportion of weddings that are officially recorded in the region. La Trinidad had the most marriages with 399, while Tuba had the second-highest percentage with 4%.
