About 5 in Every 10 Civil Registry Documents in Sagada are Births

In 2022, the municipality of Sagada accumulated a total of 254 civil registry documents which was 5.58 percent lower compared to the 269 registry documents listed in 2021. Birth took the highest number of documents with 126 registered births taking 49.61 percent of the total registry documents in the municipality. This means that about 5 in every 10 documents were births. This was 5.26 percent decrease from its births in 2021 at 133.
 
Meanwhile, 2022 registered marriages in the municipality at 63 had 23.53 percent increase from the listed marriages in 2021 at 51. This data also took 24.80 percent of the total registry documents in Sagada.
 
Recorded deaths of 65 decreased by 23.53 percent compared to the previous year with 85 recorded deaths.
 

About Three in Every 100 Births in Mountain Province are Registered in Sagada

The municipality of Sagada registered a total of 126 births in 2022. It had 3.09 percent share to the total births listed in the province at 4,077 births. This translates to about 3 in every 100 births in the province were from this municipality.
 
In 2021, Sagada contributed 4.40 percent to the total registered births in Mountain Province. This means that about 4 in every 100 births in the province were listed in the municipality.
 

About Three in Every 100 Illegitimate Births are Registered in Sagada

By type of ceremony, 442 or 54.98 percent of the total marriages in the province were civil weddings. This means that 5 in every 10 marriages registered this year were civil weddings.
 
Of these 442 civil weddings, 45 or 10.18 percent were recorded in Sagada which only means that about 1 in every 10 civil marriages in the province was from this municipality.
 
In addition, 71.43 percent of the total marriages in Sagada were civil marriages. This means that about 7 in every 10 marriages in the municipality were civil weddings. Also, 1.59 percent were solemnized by the Roman Catholic church; 17.46 percent were from other religious rites and 9.52 percent were tribal marriages.
 
 
Marriage is a special contract of permanent union between a man and a woman entered into in accordance with law for the establishment of conjugal and family life.

About Seven in Every 100 Deaths in the Province are Registered in Sagada

According to records by municipality, Sagada recorded 65 deaths for the year or 6.83 percent of the total deaths listed in the province. This means that about 7 in every 100 deaths in Mountain Province were recorded in this municipality. In 2021, Sagada recorded a total of 85 deaths.
 
The 65 deaths registered this year in Sagada was 23.53 percent lower than the recorded deaths it registered in 2021 at 85.
 

More Female than Male Deaths are Registered in Sagada

Of the 65 deaths registered in Sagada in 2022, 36 or 55.38 percent were females. This means that about 6 in every 10 deaths were females. Same trend was observed in 2021. But in 2019 and 2020, there were more male than female deaths in the municipality.
 
2021 had the highest number of female deaths at 44 while the least number was recorded in 2020 at 20 female deaths.
 

About Four in Every Ten Deaths are Married

According to marital status of the dead, 29 or 44.62 percent were married. This only means that about 4 in every 10 deaths in the municipality were married; 38.46 were widowed/ widower and 16.92 percent were single.
 
Categorizing by sex, 58.62 percent of the male deaths in the municipality were married. This translates to about 6 in every ten male deaths were married. 24.14 percent were single and 17.24 percent were widower.
 
For female deaths, 55.56 percent were widow; 33.33 percent were married and 11.11 percent were single.
