About 7 in Every 10 Civil Registry Documents in Bontoc are Births

In 2022, the municipality of Bontoc accumulated a total of 1.081 civil registry documents which was 7.56 percent higher compared to the 1,005 registry documents listed in 2021. As expected, birth took the bulk of the documents with 767 registered births taking 70.95 percent of the total registry documents in the municipality. This means that about 7 in every 10 documents were births. This was 25.94 percent increase from its births in 2021 at 609.
 
Meanwhile, 2022 registered marriages in the municipality at 115 had 3.36 percent decrease from the 2021 data at 119 marriages. This data also took 10.64 percent of the total registry documents in Bontoc.
 
Recorded deaths of 199 decreased by 28.16 percent compared to the previous year with 277 recorded deaths.
 

About Two in Every Ten Births in Mountain Province are Registered in Bontoc

The municipality of Bontoc registered a total of 767 births in 2022. It had 18.81 percent share to the total births listed in the province at 4,077 births. This translates to about 2 in every 10 births in the province were from this municipality.
 
In 2021, Bontoc contributed 20.13 percent to the total registered births in Mountain Province. This means that about 2 in every 10 births in the province were listed in the municipality.

In addition, 61.74 percent of the total marriages in Bontoc were civil marriages. This means that about 6 in every 10 marriages in the municipality were civil weddings. The remaining percentages were solemnized by the Roman Catholic Church or other religious rites.

According to marital status of the dead, 81 or 40.70 percent were married. This only means that 4 in every 10 deaths in the municipality were married; 33.67 were widowed/ widower and 25.63 percent were single.
 
Categorizing by sex, 54.13 percent of the male deaths were married. This translates to about 5 in every ten male deaths were married. 30.28 percent were single and 15.59 percent were widower.
 
For female deaths, 55.56 percent were widow; 24.44 percent were married and 20 percent were single.
