Registered Marriages in Mountain Province in the Second Semester of 2022 is 340
Based on the result of the tabulation from the Decentralized Vital Statistics System (DVSS) of the Philippine Statistics Authority, registered marriages in Mountain Province during the 2nd semester of 2022 reached 340. This was 3.68 percent lower than the registered marriages in the same semester of 2021 recorded at 353. In the 2nd semester of 2020, the registered marriages in the province were 242.
About One in Every Four Marriages in Mountain Province is Recorded in Bauko
According to records by municipality, Bauko recorded the highest number of marriages in the 2nd semester of this year at 84 marriages which was 24.71 percent of the total marriages listed in the province. This means that about 1 in every 4 marriages in Mountain Province was recorded in this municipality. This was followed by Bontoc at 52 marriages or 15.29 percent of the total and Paracelis at 40 or 11.76 percent.

According to the groom’s age, majority of the gentlemen who got married in the 2nd semester of 2022 were under the age group 25 to 29 years with 118 men that accounted to 34.71 percent of all the grooms in the province. They were followed by age groups 30 to 34 years at 23.53 percent and 20 to 24 years at 22.35 percent. The combined number of these three age groups comprised 80.59 percent of all the grooms in Mountain Province in the semester. According to single year, the highest number of grooms were aged 24 years old and the oldest gentleman who got married during the semester was 56 years old.
About Two in Every Ten Grooms Aged 25 to 29 Years are Registered in Bauko
Of the 118 gentlemen in the province who got married in the 2nd semester of the year and were aged 25 to 29 years old, 23.73 percent were registered in Bauko. This means that about 2 in every 10 grooms aged 25 to 29 years in the province were listed in this municipality.
About Five in Every Ten Grooms in Mountain Province are Roman Catholic
According to groom’s religion, majority of them were Roman Catholic as they comprised 47.65 percent of the total registered grooms in the province in the 2nd semester of 2022. Of these grooms, 27.16 percent were from Bauko while 18.52 percent were listed in Bontoc and 9.88 percent were from Paracelis.
About One in Every Three Brides is 25 to 29 Years Old
Of the 340 registered brides in Mountain Province in the 2nd semester of this year, 111 or 32.65 percent were 25 to 29 years old. This was followed by age groups 20 to 24 years old at 30 percent and 30 to 34 years old at 18.24 percent. Their combined share comprised 80.88 percent of all the brides in the province. By single year, the highest number of brides was recorded by aged 23 years old and the oldest bride during the semester was 59 years old.
About Two in Every Ten Brides Aged 25 to 29 Years are Registered in Bauko
By municipality, the highest number of brides aged 25 to 29 years were registered in Bauko with 26 brides or 23.42 percent of the total brides in the province of this age. This was followed by Bontoc and Tadian at 15.32 percent each.
