Sadanga Registers 3 Teenage Mothers

Of the total registered births in Sadanga in 2022, 3 births or 3.70 percent of the total were teenage mothers. This figure was the same compared to the total teenage moms listed in this municipality during the previous year.
 
In addition, the youngest mother who gave birth in Sadanga this year was 19 years old. In 2021, the youngest mother registered in this municipality was another 17 years old and in 2020, the youngest mom was another 17 years old.
 
According to birth order, the youngest mom who bore her 2nd child in 2022 was 19 years old; for her 3rd child was 21 years old while the youngest woman who already bore her 5th child was 24 years old.
 
In 2021, the youngest who gave birth to her 2nd child and was registered in this municipality was 19 years old and the youngest who bore her 3rd child was 25 years old.
 

About Two in Every 100 Births in Mountain Province are Registered in Sadanga

The municipality of Sadanga registered a total of 81 births in 2022. It has 1.99 percent share to the total births listed in the province at 4,077 births.
 
The highest number of births was registered in September with 16 or 19.75 percent share to the total number of births registered in this municipality. This means that about 2 in every 10 births in Sadanga in 2022 were registered in September.
 
February and October had the least number of births at just 3 births each.

Males Outnumbered Females in Terms of Registered Births

According to sex, it was noted that there were more males than females who were born in Sadanga in 2022 at 42 births. This was 7.69 percent higher than the female births at 39.
 
The difference of male births to their female counterparts during the month of August contributed to the higher number of male births in the municipality. All births in August were males while all births in February were females.
 
In the years 2020 and 2021, there were more females than males who were registered in the municipality while there were the same number of male and female births in 2019.
 

About Five in Every Ten Births are Registered Late

Of the 81 registered births in Sadanga in 2022, 44 births or 54.32 percent were registered late. This means that about 5 in every 10 births in the municipality were registered late. The number of timely registrations were at 37 births.
 
By sex, late registration among males were higher than females. 54.76 percent of the total male births in the municipality were registered late while 53.85 percent of all female births were registered late.

About One in Every Ten Female Births is Illegitimate

Of the 81 births registered in Sadanga in 2022, 10 births or 12.35 percent were illegitimate. This means that about 1 in every 10 babies registered in the municipality in 2022 was born out of wedlock.
 
Categorizing by sex, illegitimate births were higher among male than female babies. 19.05 percent of the male births were illegitimate. In comparison, 5.13 percent of all female births were also born to unmarried parents.

According to birth order, 13.58 percent of the registered births in Sadanga during the year were first born children. This translates to about 1 in every 10 births in Sadanga was first born baby. In addition, 32.10 percent were 2nd born and 14.81 percent were third born babies. The mother with the highest number of children who gave birth this year bore her 15th child.

About One in Every Four Births is Attended by a Midwife

Of the total births registered in the municipality, 23.46 percent were attended by midwives; 16.05 percent were attended by nurses; 7.41 percent were attended by hilot/ unlicensed midwives and 53.08 percent were attended by others.
 
For male births, 21.43 percent were attended by nurses; while 52.38 percent were attended by others. For female births, 33.33 percent were attended by midwives while 53.85 percent were attended by others.

About Four in Every Ten Mothers Who Gave Birth are 20 to 29 Years Old

Of the total women who gave birth in this municipality in 2022, 20.99 percent were under the age group 20 to 24 years old and 25 to 29 years old each. This was followed by age group 30 to 34 years old at 11.11 percent and age group 40 to 44 years old at 9.88 percent of the total.
 
According to single year, the highest number of mothers who gave birth this year was aged 21 and 24 years old at 6 births each. This means that about 7 in every 100 women who gave in this municipality in 2022 were aged 21 and 24 years old.
 
The oldest mother who bore a child this year was 47 years old.
