Sabangan is the Only Municipality with no Teenage Mother
Sabangan is the only municipality in Mountain Province with no registered teenage mother in 2022. In 2021, the municipality recorded 3 teenagers who gave birth while in 2020, Sabangan listed 1 teenage mom.
In addition, the youngest mother who gave birth in Paracelis this year was 20 years old. In 2021, the youngest mother registered in this municipality was 19 years old and in 2020, the youngest mom was 17 years old.
According to birth order, the youngest mom who bore her 2nd child in 2022 was 22 years old; for her 3rd child was another 22 years old while the youngest woman who already bore her 4th child was 23 years old.
In 2021, the youngest who gave birth to her 2nd child and was registered in this municipality was 20 years old and the youngest who bore her 5th child was 25 years old.
About One in Every 100 Births in Mountain Province is Registered in Sabangan
The municipality of Sabangan registered a total of 36 births in 2022. It had 0.88 percent share to the total births listed in the province at 4,077 births.
The highest number of births was registered in December with 7 or 19.44 percent share to the total number of births registered in this municipality. This means that about 2 in every 10 births in Sabangan in 2022 were registered in December.
There were no registered births in the month of June.
Males Outnumbered Females in Terms of Registered Births

For male births, 8.70 percent were attended by midwives; while 78.26 percent were attended by others. For female births, 23.08 percent were attended by physicians while 76.92 percent were attended by others.
About Two in Every Ten Mothers Who Gave Birth are 20 to 24 Years Old
Of the total women who gave birth in this municipality in 2022, 16.67 percent were under the age group 20 to 24 years old. This was followed by age group 30 to 34 years old at 13.89 percent and age group 25 to 29 years old at 8.33 percent of the total.
According to single year, the highest number of mothers who gave birth this year was aged 20 years old at 3 births. This means that about 1 in every 10 women who gave in Sabangan in 2022 was 20 years old.
The oldest mother who bore a child this year was 45 years old.
