As part of the closing program of the 33rd National Statistics Month (NSM), the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) recently conducted the 2nd PSA Quiz Bee at The Fortune Hongkong Seafood Hotel and Restaurant in Baguio City last October 27, 2022.
Nine (9) representatives from different agencies comprising the Cordillera Regional Statistics Committee (RSC) competed in the said event. (excluding PSA employees and relatives within the fourth degree of affinity and consanguinity).
The Quiz Bee consisted of three rounds: easy, average, and difficult, equivalent to one point, two points, and three points, respectively. Each round consisted ten questions.
The questions for the three rounds were about the latest dissemination forums of PSA-CAR on poverty statistics and Consumer Price Index (CPI) and PSA products and services. Topics such as inflation, poverty statistics and Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) were asked.
Accumulating the final score of 48 points, 36 points, and 32 points, Department of Agriculture, National Economic and Development Authority, and Benguet State University bagged the Champion title, 2nd, and 3rd place, respectively. The name of the winners are as follows:

2nd Place: Kathleen D. Loste
National Economic and Development Authority – CAR
3rd Place: Han B. Bonoy
Benguet State University
Ms. Blessie M. Cesario will be the representative of CAR competing for the upcoming National PSA Quiz Bee.
