The Philippine Statistics Authority - Cordillera Administrative Region (PSA-CAR) recently conducted the 4th Quarter Inter-Agency on Civil Registry and Vital Statistics (IACCRVS) Meeting at Lafaayette Luxury Suites, Baguio City last 11 December 2023.

PSA-CAR Regional Registration Center Supervisor Angel F. Marquez presented updates on PhilSys where she reported a total 587,384 PhilID cards delivered as of 31 July 2023 and issued and printed 994,822 ePhilIDs as of 30 November 2023. Ms. Marquez reiterated that the ePhilID is not a temporary ID and that it has no validity.

Municipal Health Officer Mary Jane Grace L. Muñoz of Tublay Rural Health Unit presented the rules on Medical Certification of Cause of Death (MCCOD) where she discussed the general guidelines on cause of death certification and reporting and the certification of in-facility and out-of-facility deaths.

PSA-CAR Birth Registration Agent Ritchie Mae C. Chupisna discussed PBRAP procedures. She reported that Kalinga had the highest normal delayed registration of births with 7,119 registrants and out-of-town registration of births with 1,492 registrants.

 

PSA-CAR OIC Chief Administrative Officer Gerard A. Tolito presented the draft resolution reconstituting the CAR subnational IACCRVS members where Commission on Population was renamed as Commission on Population and Development by virtue of Executive Order (EO) No. 71 on 13 December 2023 by President Rodrigo R. Duterte and the removal of the Office of the Cabinet Secretary by virtue of EO No.1 of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. issued on 30 June 2023.
