As of 01 April 2022, the total chicken inventory was estimated at 2.13 million birds in the Cordillera region. Native/improved chicken recorded the biggest share of 85.22 percent to the total chicken inventory. This was followed by layer chicken with 10.56 percent share and broiler chicken with 4.23 percent share.

 

In terms of inventory, Ifugao reported the highest total chicken population of 511,701 birds. This was followed by Mountain Province with 461,969 birds and Abra with 319,567 birds. These three provinces accounted for 60.79 percent of the total chicken inventory in the

Cordillera Administrative Region.

 

As of 01 April 2022, the region’s total duck inventory was estimated at 315,565 birds. Almost all the duck population or 99.98 percent were raised in backyard farms while 0.02 percent of the duck population were raised in commercial farms.

 

In terms of inventory, Kalinga reported the highest total duck population of 111,054 birds in the Cordillera region. This was followed by Ifugao with 84,015 birds and Apayao with 57,488 birds. These three provinces accounted for 80.03 percent of the total duck inventory in the region.

 

As of 01 April 2022, the total carabao inventory in the Cordillera region was estimated at 77,605 heads. All carabaos were raised in backyard farms and no carabaos were raised in

commercial farms in the region.

 

In terms of inventory, Kalinga reported the highest total carabao population of 20,090 heads. This was followed by Abra with 18,075 heads and Apayao with 17,240 heads. These three provinces accounted for 71.39 percent of the total carabao inventory in the region.

As of 01 April 2022, the total cattle inventory in the Cordillera region was estimated at 58,092 heads. All the cattle population were raised in backyard farms and no cattle were raised in commercial farms.

 

In terms of inventory, Abra reported the highest total cattle population with 21,530 heads. This was followed by Kalinga with 9,128 heads and Benguet with 8,524 heads. These provinces shared 67.45 percent of the total cattle inventory in the region.

Abra reported the highest inventory of cattle in backyard farms with 21,530 heads while Apayao reported the least inventory of cattle with 3,554 heads.

 

 

As of 01 April 2022, the total goat inventory was estimated at 60,880 heads. Almost all of the total goat population were raised in backyard farms with 60,868 heads. Only 12 goats were raised from commercial farms in the region.

 

In terms of inventory, Abra reported the highest total goat population of 27,982 heads. This was followed by Benguet with 13,740 heads and Ifugao with 11,004 heads. These three provinces accounted for 86.61 percent of the total goat inventory in the region.
