The province’s total civil registration increased by 14.9 percent based on the same period last year.

The second semester of 2022 recorded a total registration of 2,689 documents while in 2021 of the same period was 2,341. Ten municipalities comprised the whole province.
 
Birth went up by 37.2%, marriage at 46.8% while death decreased by 21.8% and the overall increase is 14.9%.
 
Among document types, Birth regularly tops the overall list for years 2021 and 2022 with 1,393 and 1,911, respectively. This is followed far behind by death, and the least is marriage (figure1).

In figure 2, the comparative percentiles show clearly the composition of document types by percentage. From 2021 to 2022, birth increase by one percent. On the opposite, same percentage applies to the decrease in death, while marriage remains constant. The ratio is individually based from the data per year, first semester.

The data is a preliminary result derived from the Decentralized Vital Statistics System
(DVSS) in the provincial office.

Male dominates birth registration in 2022 with 51% over female.

In 2022 first semester, male dominates birth registration with 51% over female at 49%. Generally, birth increase by 9.9% compared to the same semester last year. On the other hand, female registration increased by 2.8% while male declines by a slim 0.10%.

Total Marriages reached 464 in 2022 first semester over 316 in 2021 of same semester. Equivalent to an increase of 46.84%

Most marriages occurred in Paracelis, 110, then Bauko at 92, with Tadian and Bontoc coming next, with slight differences at 65 and 63, respectively. More Late registrations are seen in Bontoc with four, followed by equally two each from Paracelis, Sagada and Tadian. Bauko and Sabangan got one each while all the rest of the municipalities have no late registrations.
 
It should be noted that these marriage registrations are not necessarily residents of the place but rather their place of event or ceremony.

Women usually marry at earlier age than men during the first semester of 2022

Figure 5 shows women usually get married at age 18-25 while most men get married at a later date, 26-33. This is also supported by a presence of one male marriage at age 66- 73. On the other hand, no one got married at 74 and over for both sexes.
 
Note: The 17 and below age bracket are late registered marriage document that were officiated before the implementation of the Family Code of the Philippines, Art 176. Wherein the marrying ages were allowed below 18 then.

May is the most sought month for marriages during the first semester of 2022

In 2022, figure 6, most marriages occurred in May. From January it went down to February then continuously increase to May until a big downslide to June. May is the most sought month for marrying during this period and February has the lowest marriage occurrences.

The first semester of 2022 showed that most occurrence of death is in Bauko and males getting the bigger number versus the females.

As seen in figure 8, Bauko shows the highest occurrence of death this first semester of 2022 with 141. Seconded by Bontoc, 115 and coming next far behind are Paracelis and Tadian with 55 and 47, respectively. The least are Barlig, Sadanga and Besao.
 
On death population comparison, on the same period, males composed 54.05% while 45.95% are females.

Approved Certificate of Registration of Authority to Solemnize Marriage (CRASM) issuances

Most CRASM applicants file or renew their licenses on January, the first semester of the year.

2022 second semester has a total 19 applicants that were issued certificates. In figure 8, January has the highest issuances to qualified applicants. March is the least with no applicants at all.

Certificate of Registration of Authority to Solemnize Marriage (CRASM) is valid for three
years and usually expires at the end of December.
 

Provincial Electronic Endorsements

Overall endorsed documents for the first semester of 2022 equals 97 with birth as the domineering subject.

The total endorsed documents in the province for the second semester of 2022 is 97. Birth dominates the overall endorsed documents at 67, next is marriage with 29 and death at one. The peak month for endorsements for birth documents is seen in March with 20, marriage is on June, 10, while death got only one on March and zero endorsement for the rest of the months.
