The National Statistical Coordination Board – Cordillera Administrative Region (NSCB-CAR) created new sections in its regional website http://psacordillera.esy.es featuring special-interest statistics and the latest information on the region. 1. Special Tables on Tourism Statistics

In recognition of the contribution of tourism in the economic development of the region, the NSCB-CAR created a special section on its website featuring selected tables on tourism statistics. The new web pages contain available provincial and city tourism data collected by the Department of Tourism-CAR. These tables have been accessible on the net since 20 November 2007. 2. Facts and Figures of the Municipality of Balbalan

The Municipality of Balbalan in Kalinga Province is the fourth municipality to be featured in the NSCB-CAR web site. Rediscover the municipality endowed with captivating natural and rugged beauty. 3. Poverty Maps

A total of 105 thematic maps prepared under the poverty mapping activities for the provinces of Ifugao (http://www.nscb.gov.ph/rucar/pm_ifugao.htm) and Mountain Province (http://www.nscb.gov.ph/rucar/pm_mtprovince.htm) and the City of Baguio (http://www.nscb.gov.ph/rucar/pm_baguio.htm) were uploaded last 13 December 2007. The maps present indices of the municipal/barangay-level data for the Minimum Basic Needs (MBN) indicators covering the three major concerns of survival, security and enabling, collected with the assistance of the respective Provincial and City Planning and Development Offices. 4. MDG Watch - CAR

The MDG Watch features available MDG Statistics and the pace of progress of the region in terms of each of the MDG indicators. The probability of the achieving the goals is classified into High, Medium and Low. The web page was uploaded on the regional website last 17 December 2007.
